ASPINE Wellness Signature Programme

LPPL: Integrated Chiropractic & TCM Care

LPPL is ASPINE Wellness’s signature programme combining chiropractic care and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in one coordinated, assessment-led pathway.

Rather than adding treatments automatically, the programme begins with assessment and uses each discipline only when it has a clear role in the individual care plan.

What does LPPL mean?

LPPL stands for Long-Term Pain-Free & Posture-Full Life. It is the name of ASPINE Wellness’s integrated chiropractic and TCM programme.

The name reflects the programme’s focus on longer-term function, movement and spinal health. It is not a guarantee that every patient will become completely pain-free, and outcomes vary according to the condition, severity, health history and response to care.

Why combine chiropractic and TCM?

Chiropractic and TCM approach musculoskeletal complaints from different clinical perspectives. For selected patients, coordinating the two can allow the care plan to address movement, mechanical sensitivity and rehabilitation goals alongside TCM assessment and treatment.

The purpose of integration is not simply to provide more treatment. It is to use the most appropriate elements of each discipline while keeping the plan coordinated.

How the LPPL programme works

  1. Assess: review your symptoms, health history, posture, movement and goals.
  2. Coordinate: determine whether chiropractic, TCM or both are appropriate.
  3. Treat: deliver the selected care within each practitioner’s scope of practice.
  4. Reassess: review progress and adjust the plan according to your response.

What may be included?

Depending on the assessment, the programme may include:

  • spine, posture and movement assessment;
  • chiropractic care and manual treatment when appropriate;
  • corrective or rehabilitation exercises;
  • Traditional Chinese Medicine assessment and treatment by the relevant TCM practitioner;
  • movement and self-management advice; and
  • progress reviews to decide whether the plan should continue, change or be referred elsewhere.

Who may consider LPPL?

LPPL may be considered for adults with persistent or recurrent musculoskeletal complaints when both chiropractic and TCM may have a reasonable role in care. Examples can include selected neck, back, posture or movement-related concerns.

Not every patient is suitable for an integrated programme. Some people may need only one discipline, while others may require medical, orthopaedic or other specialist assessment instead.

What happens at your first LPPL consultation?

Your first visit focuses on understanding the problem before deciding on treatment. The team may review:

  • your main symptoms and how long they have been present;
  • medical and treatment history;
  • spinal movement and posture where relevant;
  • existing imaging or reports, if available;
  • TCM assessment findings; and
  • your functional goals and activities.

If the findings suggest that another form of care is more appropriate, the programme should not be started simply because it is available.

Frequently asked questions

Does LPPL mean I will receive both chiropractic and TCM at every visit?

Not necessarily. The plan depends on your assessment and response. Integration means the disciplines are coordinated, not that every treatment must be used at every visit.

Is LPPL suitable for acute injuries?

It depends on the presentation. A recent injury may need a different starting point, further investigation or referral before an integrated programme is appropriate.

Do I need X-rays before starting?

No. Bring any relevant imaging you already have. New imaging is considered only when it may affect diagnosis or management.

Can I start with just one discipline?

Yes. If chiropractic or TCM alone is the more appropriate starting point, the care plan can be kept simple rather than adding unnecessary treatment.
